Mountain Dew Inspired Makeup Look

A makeup look I did on my sister-in-law (Chrissy)...I was showing her that she could wear colors on her eyes regardless of the fact that she has brown eyes and that she shouldn't let them limit her to only browns and natural colors. Most girls limit themselves to neutrals (browns, greys, whites, etc.) due to their eye colors and/or their skin color, but what most girls don't know is is that anyone can wear colors it's just a matter of finding the right color for you, the best way to do so is to by determining whether you are cool or warm complected....

How to Determine Your Skintone:

-Look at the veins on the back of your wrist. Veins that look greenish have yellow undertones which means you're warm complected and veins that appear to be more blue have blue undertones which means your cool complected.

-Another way to determine your skin tone is:
You'll need a white shirt, towel, etc. Put to your face (make sure you have no makeup on when doing so this is best if you wash your face just prior to doing this) If your face looks yellow next to the white towel you have a warm skin tone and if it looks more blue then you have a cool skin tone.

Another way to determine your skintone is:
If you look better in silver jewelry you have a cool skin tone, and if you look better in gold then you have a warm skin tone.

After you have figured out whether you are cool or warm complected you will have a nice idea as to what colors to look for when picking out your makeup, clothes, etc. My suggestion is to go online in search of a color chart and find what colors are warm and which are cool and use those colors as your guide.

Also: Each skintone color is split into 2 separate groups-
Warm is called- Fall or Spring
Cool- Winter or Summer

Well, I hope this helped and thanks for watching my video :-)

My Introduction Blog

Welcome to my newly started blog :-) My name is Rachel and I'm a 27 year old wife and mommy who COMPLETELY LOVES ALL THINGS MAKEUP! I married my HS sweetheart, David almost 9 years ago! We have 2 amazing little girls Hayli's 7 years old and Mariah is soon to be 5! I've been hooked on makeup for as long as I can possibly remember! School reports- Makeup, cosmetics, Models, Fashion, Beauty, etc anytime I could find a way to tie beauty and makeup into my school projects I'd do it! Well, since I've become a mom that passion has never died it's actually been a bonding activity to do with my girls! Several years back I decided to try doing a little modeling as that too was a HUGE dream of mine, after trying it out I learned it's not my thing but I'm glad I gave it a go anyway! The Modeling DID point me back to my true passion, which is MAKEUP! And since I've been growing, learning, playing, just NONSTOP doing my thing and lovin it! So, I've decided to share my passion with the wondeful people of the Internet World! Enjoy! Thanks for checkin out my Blog, I welcome ANY & ALL subscribers, comments, responses, ideas, suggestions, etc! Well, thanks for stopping by beautiful people! Kiss*Kiss
